Accommodations

The Nicolet Lodge is conveniently located in Florence and it is our suggestion for accomodation. It is a 12 unit Motel complex located a short walk from Downtown Florence and is just south of the intersection of U.S. 2 and Hwy 70. Please refer to the maps within the Travel Information page . We have reserved the entire lodge for the wedding weekend. 9 kitchenette units which sleep 4 as well as 3 queen size bed units are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please mention to Craig or Jenny Soderburg you'll be attending the Van Wagoner - Jensen wedding when making your reservation. [715.528.5996]

As of June 18th, Jenny had stated there are 6 Kitchenettes available.

The Lakeside Bed & Breakfast is a very cute place with about 8 rooms decked out in country style. It's located on the east end of Main Street (Route 2) where the road jogs north (again, refer to maps in Travel Information). The south facing bedrooms overlook Fischer Lake. Ronny and Rita McMullen would love to have you over for breakfast. For more information on The Lakeside, check out their website. [715.528.3259]

As of June 18th, all rooms are reserved.

The Forest Motel is also located around the corner from Downtown Florence. It is quite an economical option offering 6-2 double bed room units as well as 2-2 double bed & a single bed unit configuration. Steve Polka is the owner and would be happy to put you up for the weekend or longer. [?]

As of June 18th, the phone number is out of service. We're not sure if they are still in business.

Valhalla Resort is located on Sealion Lake and is owned and operated by Duane and Diane Tober. The Van Wagoner Family has RESERVED the resort in its entirety. Diane and Duane are wonderful people and are more than willing to chat, but to deter an abundance of phone calls to their residence, we would ask that you wait to make their acquaintence at the reception.

More accommodations can be found at the Florence County Website. Check out their Accommodations page.

If you are interested in a more rustic approach to the weekend, check out the campgrounds page.

Jen and I would like to point out we are available for assistance in answering any questions you may have about the accommodations, the area, and alternatives. Please don't hesitate to pick up the phone, even for what you my think a small question. We will be updating the website as questions arise.
